Crafty Projects

I have the sewing and crafting bug again (still). Last week I endeavored to make my little one a new bonnet and matching pants. I sewed a bonnet a few weeks ago, but it was way too big to fit her! So I went back to the fabric store and bought some fabric that I had been eying. Washed it, cut it, then sewed it up!

Meanwhile I am knitting some baby overalls! This is my sit-in-front-of-the-TV project. I don't know what it is about the impending fall, but it always makes me want to knit and crochet. I just can't do that in Spring or Summer. This project has forced me to learn new things like how to increase and decrease. I never tried to learn before because I was intimidated by it and I like to learn from seeing how it's done, not just reading it. But this time I was determined so I just tried and tried again! I am still not an expert at it, and my work is a little uneven and flawed, but you only learn by trial and error, right?

After these projects are done, I have plans to design and sew a bag, curtains for the baby's room and more pants for her! I am also contemplating some felted bags. My ultimate goal is to design something and then sell it on etsy to fuel my creative pursuits and make money while doing it. We'll see what happens. For now, focus on one project at a time, no?
